So as you may know, our senior high group recently returned from an incredibly powerful mission trip to the Navajo Nation in Arizona. Our group grew closer to each other, to the native people of Arizona, and most importantly, to their Savior.

We always love to hear back from our youth about what they learned, experienced, and faced, and we’re excited to get to share a couple of those reviews with you! We asked our returning youth a few questions and these are their answers. Enjoy!

Youth Trip: Senior High Mission Trip, Arizona

1. What was the most memorable thing for you on this trip? The most memorable thing for me were the bonds we made with each other. There were a lot of new faces but getting to know everyone’s fun personality was memorable.

2. What was your greatest “aha!” moment? (Something that “clicked” and made you realize something new.) I realized that everyone has 3 zones. The “comfort zone”, the “stretch zone”, and the “too far zone”. Everyone wants to stay in the comfort zone, but the stretch zone is where the most memories are made, most support is shown, and most love is given.

3. When/Where did you see God move? I saw God move on our work site. We placed shingles on a roof, put dry wall on ceilings, painted a dog house, and filled in a hole in the wall with cement. Nobody complained, everyone smiled. I saw God in our progress and in everyone’s smiles. _________________________________________________________________________________________

Youth Trip: Senior High Mission Trip, Arizona

1. What was the most memorable thing for you on this trip? Viewing the beautiful Grand Canyon!

2. What was your greatest “aha!” moment? (Something that “clicked” and made you realize something new.)  How much we take things for granted, after seeing the hot water heater and Ms. Annie’s house.

3. When/Where did you see God move? Definitely throughout everyone on the trip working together in service for God.

4. What is your take-home from the trip?  What did you change (if anything) once you returned based on a lesson or Scripture you studied? I changed my attitude and how I react towards things.
